Our association Historical Library of the Thuringian Higher Regional Court in Jena e.V. was founded as a circle of friends of the historical collection at the Higher Regional Court in Jena on January 29, 2007.

 

The association has set itself the goal of preserving, maintaining, expanding and using the historical library for cultural purposes. An essential and continuous task is also to help with the restoration of those books that have been damaged over the decades. But also the common cultural experience is part of the association's work, for instance in excursions or local events. 

 

Since its foundation the number of members of the association has increased continuously, from 35 when the association was founded to now more than 100.
